How to cancel Pof by mail
Collect the details you need
Check the email address or phone number on the profile and the subscription length you chose before anything else. A request that does not match the account on file at Pof is the easiest one to set aside.
Put the request in writing
The letter asks Pof to end the account, stop every future charge and confirm it in writing, under the subject line “Subject: Cancellation Request – [your name]”. Postbye fills it in from our English template.
Mail the letter with a receipt
Use certified mail for the V6E 4E5 Vancouver address in the next section, so the post office records the delivery. Write down the tracking number.
File the delivery record
It shows the date Pof received your letter. Check your next statement: no Pof charge should post after the cancellation date.
With Postbye, steps 2 to 4 take about two minutes of your time.

Before you cancel Pof, check these
- Ask for written confirmation, and check the next statement for any further charge.
- Deleting your profile or the app does not always cancel the subscription. Say that you want the subscription ended.
- Multi-month plans renew in blocks. Check the date of the next block on your statement.
Several states set rules for subscriptions that renew on their own. See what yours requires in automatic renewal laws by state.

Cancelling a dating subscription
Dating subscriptions often renew in multi-month blocks, and deleting the profile or the app does not stop the billing, so the request has to end the subscription itself.
Putting the request in writing means there is a date on file for when you asked, which matters if a charge appears afterwards.
