How to cancel Austrian Bible Society by mail
Find your account details
Put the name and email on the account and, if you have one, an account or customer number in front of you before you write: the request to Austrian Bible Society is only as good as the details it quotes.
Draft the request
Postbye writes the letter in German from our German template, because Austrian Bible Society's address is in Austria. It opens with the subject line “Betreff: Kündigungsanfrage – [your name]” and asks Austrian Bible Society to end the subscription, stop all further charges and confirm in writing.
Post the letter
Send the letter to the Wien mailing address shown below by certified mail. Keep the tracking number safe.
Keep the delivery receipt
The receipt dates your request. Look at your next statement for any Austrian Bible Society charge after that date.
With Postbye, steps 2 to 4 take about two minutes of your time.
Where your Austrian Bible Society cancellation letter goes

The envelope is going to Wien, Austria, so the postcode 1070 must be on the front.
Your details go in a block headed by Kontoinhaber, Hinterlegte Rechnungsadresse and Hinterlegte E-Mail-Adresse, and the opening line is “Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,”.

Before you cancel Austrian Bible Society, check these
- Use the same name and email as on the account. A mismatch can delay the request.
- Check your next statement: no charge should appear after the cancellation date.
- Look for annual or multi-month plans. A plan paid in advance usually runs to the end of the period you paid for.
Several states set rules for subscriptions that renew on their own. See what yours requires in automatic renewal laws by state.

How cancelling by mail works
Subscriptions renew automatically, and a written request is the clearest record that you asked to stop it before the next billing date.
Putting the request in writing means there is a date on file for when you asked, which matters if a charge appears afterwards.
