How to cancel Arte Magazin by mail
Start with your account details
Before writing, collect the email on the account, the delivery address for print copies and the subscription or reference number from your latest invoice. Arte Magazin can only act on a request it can match to an account.
Write your request
Postbye drafts the request in German, the language of Germany, with “Betreff: Kündigungsanfrage – [your name]” as the subject line. It asks Arte Magazin to close the subscription, stop billing and confirm in writing.
Post it with proof of delivery
Use certified mail for the 20423 Hamburg address in the next section, so the post office records the delivery. Write down the tracking number.
Keep the delivery receipt
The receipt dates your request. Look at your next statement for any Arte Magazin charge after that date.
With Postbye, steps 2 to 4 take about two minutes of your time.
Where your Arte Magazin cancellation letter goes
For a letter to Arte Magazin, use Postfach 11, 20423 Hamburg, Germany.
“Postfach 11” is a post-office box or mail-sorting line, so it takes post and not couriers: certified mail is the right way to reach it.
Your details go in a block headed by Kontoinhaber, Hinterlegte Rechnungsadresse and Hinterlegte E-Mail-Adresse, and the opening line is “Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,”.

Cancelling a news or magazine subscription
Publishers often move you from an introductory price to the standard rate and can steer cancellations towards phone or chat, so a written request is the record that you asked.
A letter is the formal route: it states the request in writing, carries a date and, sent by certified mail, comes with proof of delivery.
