How to cancel Douyin by mail
Find your account details
You will need the email address on the account, the plan name and, if you can find it, the billing partner shown on your latest statement. Use exactly the details Douyin holds, so the request can be matched to your account.
Put the request in writing
The request is prepared in Chinese (template zh), under the subject line “主题：取消请求 – [your name]”: end the subscription, stop all further charges and confirm in writing to you.
Post it with proof of delivery
Mail the letter by certified mail to the Beijing address in the next section, and keep the tracking number.
File the delivery record
It shows the date Douyin received your letter. Check your next statement: no Douyin charge should post after the cancellation date.
With Postbye, steps 2 to 4 take about two minutes of your time.
Where your Douyin cancellation letter goes
Douyin can be reached by post at 北京市海淀区北三环西路甲18号院4号楼2层2022, 100098 Beijing, China.

Your details go in a block headed by 账户持有人, 存档的账单地址 and 存档的电子邮件地址, and the opening line is “相关负责人：”.

Before you cancel Douyin, check these
- If an app store, phone carrier or TV provider bills you, the service itself cannot cancel it. Cancel with the billing partner as well.
- Access normally runs to the end of the period you paid for, so a cancellation does not shorten what you already bought.
- Bundles and add-on channels can be billed separately from the base plan. Ask for every line to be cancelled.
Several states set rules for subscriptions that renew on their own. See what yours requires in automatic renewal laws by state.

Cancelling a streaming or entertainment subscription
Streaming plans renew silently each month, and many are billed by a partner such as an app store or a TV provider rather than the service itself, so the request has to reach whoever actually bills you.
A letter is the formal route: it states the request in writing, carries a date and, sent by certified mail, comes with proof of delivery.
