How to cancel Douyu by mail
Get your account details together
Before writing, collect the name and email on the account and, if you have one, an account or customer number. Douyu can only act on a request it can match to an account.
Prepare the letter
The request is prepared in Chinese (template zh), under the subject line “主题：取消请求 – [your name]”: end the subscription, stop all further charges and confirm in writing to you.
Send it by certified mail
Send the letter to the Wuhan mailing address shown below by certified mail. Keep the tracking number safe.
Hold on to the receipt
The receipt dates your request. Look at your next statement for any Douyu charge after that date.
With Postbye, steps 2 to 4 take about two minutes of your time.
Where your Douyu cancellation letter goes

Before you cancel Douyu, check these
- Check your next statement: no charge should appear after the cancellation date.
- Look for annual or multi-month plans. A plan paid in advance usually runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Write well before the next billing date. A request that arrives after it can leave one more charge on your statement.
Several states set rules for subscriptions that renew on their own. See what yours requires in automatic renewal laws by state.

How cancelling by mail works
Most subscriptions keep billing until someone tells the company to stop, and a dated letter is proof that somebody did.
If a charge shows up after you cancelled, the letter and its receipt are what you put in front of the company or your bank.
