How to cancel Fitness Arena by mail
Find your account details
Before writing, collect your membership number, the home club you joined at and the name on the membership agreement. Fitness Arena can only act on a request it can match to an account.
Set out the request
The request is prepared in German (template de), under the subject line “Betreff: Kündigungsanfrage – [your name]”: end the subscription, stop all further charges and confirm in writing to you.
Send it by certified mail
Send the letter to the Döbeln mailing address shown below by certified mail. Keep the tracking number safe.
Keep proof the letter arrived
Keep the tracking record with your copy of the letter. If Fitness Arena bills you after the date it received the request, you have the dates to point to.
With Postbye, steps 2 to 4 take about two minutes of your time.
Where your Fitness Arena cancellation letter goes
Fitness Arena takes its post at Weststraße 20, 04720 Döbeln, Germany, which is where a cancellation letter belongs.
Copy the postal code 04720 exactly: it is what routes the letter to Sachsen, Germany.
The letter is addressed “Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,” and its details block uses the labels Kontoinhaber, Hinterlegte Rechnungsadresse and Hinterlegte E-Mail-Adresse.

Before you cancel Fitness Arena, check these
- A home club can have its own rules. Name the club in the letter so the request is not bounced between locations.
- Freezing or pausing a membership is not cancelling it. Say clearly that you want the membership ended.
- Read the notice window in your agreement. A letter that arrives after the cut-off can miss that month's charge.
Several states set rules for subscriptions that renew on their own. See what yours requires in automatic renewal laws by state.

Cancelling a gym or fitness membership
Gyms often require written notice, set a notice window before the next billing date and can tie the cancellation to the home club, so a dated letter is the record that counts.
Putting the request in writing means there is a date on file for when you asked, which matters if a charge appears afterwards.
