How to cancel Apple's own services and bundles
To cancel a service billed by Apple on an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap the service and tap Cancel Subscription. On a Mac, use the App Store, click your name, click Subscriptions, choose the service and click Cancel Subscription. iCloud+ also has its own steps, and a change to it takes effect after your current billing period ends. Apple One is one plan that bundles several services, so it is cancelled from the same list.

Cancel an Apple service in Settings
To cancel Apple One itself, see our page on how to cancel Apple One. For Apple's other services, see the Apple page.
Apple keeps its own services and your App Store plans in one list. The steps below follow Apple's support page for cancelling a subscription. For the general picture, including plans from apps, read our guide to cancelling subscriptions on iPhone.
Open Settings and tap your name
This is on an iPhone, iPad or Apple Vision Pro. Apple gives identical steps for all three.
Tap Subscriptions
The list holds every plan billed to your Apple Account.
Tap the service
Apple One, iCloud+, Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Arcade appear here when you pay for them.
Tap Cancel Subscription
Apple says you might need to scroll down to find the button. If there is no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red text, the plan is already cancelled.
Cancel on a Mac, Windows or the web
- Mac: in the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar (sign in if asked), click your name again, click Subscriptions, click the plan and click Cancel Subscription.
- Windows: Apple says Apple Music and Apple TV can each be cancelled on the web through separate links. For other Apple-billed plans, open the Apple Music or Apple TV app, click your name in the sidebar, click View My Account, click Manage next to Subscriptions, click Edit on the plan and click Cancel Subscription.
- Android: if Google Play bills you for Apple Music or Apple TV, cancel in the Google Play app. For plans billed by Apple, go to the Apple Account website and sign in with your Apple Account.
If Google Play is the biller, our guide to cancelling subscriptions on Google Play has the steps.
iCloud+ has its own page
iCloud+ is storage, so Apple adds a few cautions. Apple's page for downgrading or cancelling iCloud+ gives this route on iOS and iPadOS 18.4 and later: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap iCloud+ under Active, then tap Cancel Subscription to cancel or See All Plans to downgrade. On a Mac with macOS Tahoe 26 or later, click Apple Account, click iCloud, then click Manage Plan under iCloud+ Features. Older systems use a Downgrade Options route, and choosing the free 5GB plan cancels iCloud+.
- Timing: Apple says a downgrade or cancellation takes effect after your current subscription billing period ends.
- Storage: if your data exceeds the new plan's capacity, iCloud stops syncing and backups do not complete. Apple advises downloading or removing content that does not fit before you change plans.
- Features: moving to the free plan removes iCloud+ features such as Hide My Email, Private Relay, Apple Invites and HomeKit Secure Video.
- Refunds: Apple says partial refunds are available where required by law, and that you should contact Apple within 14 days if you recently changed your plan and want a refund.
Our company page for iCloud+ keeps the details we hold.
How Apple One bundles behave
Apple One puts several services into one plan. Apple's page on Apple One lists the Individual plan with Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ with 50GB. The Family plan has the same services with 200GB and can be shared with up to five other family members. The Premier plan adds Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+ where available, and iCloud+ with 2TB. Features vary by country or region.
Because the bundle is one plan, it is one row in your Subscriptions list, and you cancel it the same way as any other Apple plan. The included services are part of that row. When you switch from separate plans, Apple says existing subscriptions to included services, except iCloud+, are cancelled automatically when you are billed for Apple One, and you receive a prorated refund for them. Apple's pages do not set out what happens to each service on the day the bundle ends. After you cancel, read the Subscriptions list and the expiration message so you know which plans remain.
- Trial: Apple One includes a one month trial for services you do not already have, and the plan renews automatically after the trial. If you recently cancelled a service, you might not be eligible for the trial.
- Changing plan: tap See All Plans on the plan to move to a different type. Apple's page on switching plans says you can follow the onscreen instructions to complete your purchase.
- iCloud+ and Apple One together: if you pay for both, you can downgrade or cancel the separate iCloud+ plan and use the storage included in Apple One. If your existing iCloud+ plan has more storage than your Apple One plan, Apple says you are charged separately and your storage is combined.
If you want to leave Apple altogether, cancel the bundle and any separate plan in the same sitting, then screenshot the list. Two rows with an active status means two charges.
When you cannot find the plan
Apple's page says to search your email for a receipt from Apple or an invoice from Apple, then check which Apple Account the receipt shows. If a family member's account is on it, that person must cancel, because you cannot cancel a family member's subscription. If it shows another account of yours, sign in to that account. If a wireless carrier or another provider bills you, contact them for support. With no Apple receipt at all, you may have bought the plan from another company: check your bank or card statement, then contact that company.
When a letter helps
Apple's own plans cancel on the device, so a letter is rarely the first step. It is useful when a carrier or another company bills you, or when a charge continues after you cancelled and you want a dated record. Our guide to cancelling a subscription by mail explains the steps, and certified mail for cancellations covers the receipt and delivery record. USPS describes both on its page about Certified Mail and other extra services. The cancellation letter template builds the letter for you.

If the charge keeps coming
Match the charge to a plan by its date and amount, then check the Subscriptions list for a plan you missed. If a company bills you after the date it should have stopped, send it the delivery date of your letter and the list of later charges. The FTC's advice on getting out of subscriptions is to keep records and dispute charges that continue after you cancel. Our guide on what to do when a company keeps charging you explains each step.
Questions about how we handle a letter for you are answered in our help center and on how it works. To see what your plans cost in a year, try the subscription cost calculator.
Send your cancellation by certified mail
Tell us the company you want to leave. We write a formal cancellation letter, mail it by certified mail the next business day and send you the delivery proof.
