Name the law in your letter
Refer to Iowa Code sections 552.4 and 552.8 by name, say plainly that you are cancelling under it and ask the club to confirm the cancellation in writing.
Post the letter by certified mail
Send the signed letter by Certified Mail with Return Receipt. The receipt shows when it was mailed, and the return card shows who accepted it.
Hold on to your records
Keep your records until the last charge has cleared. If a payment still goes through afterward, show the club your proof and, if needed, your bank.
