What this means when you cancel
Start with the contract you signed
Put your contract on the desk next to Okla. Stat. tit. 59, sections 2004 and 2005. Write down the term, the notice rule and any cancellation address, and check whether the statute gives you a right the contract does not mention.
Cite the statute when you write
Refer to Okla. Stat. tit. 59, sections 2004 and 2005 by name, say plainly that you are cancelling under it and ask the club to confirm the cancellation in writing.
Send it by certified mail
Use certified mail, not a regular stamp. You want a postmarked receipt and a delivery record that you can show if the club says it never received your notice.
Do not discard anything yet
File your copies together and watch your next two statements. If the club charges you after the date your cancellation took effect, your papers are the proof.
If the club ignores your Oklahoma notice, your proof is the record you will need for a refund request or a card dispute.
Send your cancellation by certified mail
