Gym contract cancellation law in New York
If your gym is in New York, N.Y. Gen. Bus. Law sections 623 and 624 is the law to check first. Cancel within 3 business days of receiving the signed contract (mail or email), with a refund within 10 business days. After that, cancel on death, disability over 3 months, moving more than 25 miles from a club the seller operates, or permanent closure. Send your notice in writing and keep proof of delivery, so the date you cancelled is never in doubt.
